Alfred University Day of Giving is today, December 5

Today is Alfred University’s annual Day of Giving, “All In For Alfred,” celebrated each year on Founders Day. Alfred University was founded on December 5, 1836, and for 1,836 minutes—which runs through Friday, Dec. 6, at 2:36 p.m.—the University will go All In For Alfred in support of students.

“Philanthropy is key to Alfred University’s mission of helping students realize their purpose,” said Mark Zupan, Alfred University president. “Each gift has an impact on our efforts to provide students with a meaningful and fulfilling educational experience.”

Donors have the option of directing their gifts to areas of the University which reflect their interests. No gift is too small, noted Erin Martinovich, vice president for University Advancement, and each makes a meaningful difference in the Alfred University student experience.

“Gifts to the Alfred Fund, or to an area of Alfred University for which someone has passion, will provide our students with enriching and fulfilling experiences,” Martinovich said. “Every gift counts no matter the size. When combined with the hundreds of other donors who’ve chosen to go all in for Alfred, the philanthropic impact is magnified.”

Alfred University alumni, families, and friends are asked to connect with us on Instagram and Facebook.
